Terms of Service
Last updated: 2 August 2026
Reverim is published by ExpertFocus LLC ("we", "us"). By installing or using it, you agree to these terms.
1. What you're buying
A licence to use the software, not the software itself. The licence is per-person, for any number of computers you personally use. It is not transferable between people. An organisation buying for several practitioners needs a licence for each.
2. What happens without a licence, or when one lapses
The software becomes read-only. Your vault still opens, search still works, questions still get answered — only writing to your notes is withheld. You are never locked out of your own records by a licence check. Your notes are plain files on your own disk and were yours before this software existed.
3. Your notes remain yours
We claim no ownership of, and no licence to, anything you write, index or produce with the software. We have no access to it. Nothing is transmitted to us — see Privacy.
4. Clinical use, and the limits of this tool
Reverim is not a medical device and does not provide clinical decision support. It organises, locates, summarises and drafts from writing you have already produced. It does not diagnose, does not advise on treatment or management, and does not generate clinical formulations.
The software checks each answer against the passages it drew on and reports when that check fails. That check compares wording against retrieved material: it catches invented sources and answers that drift away from your notes. It does not verify that an answer has read a passage correctly, and it is not a guarantee of accuracy.
You remain professionally responsible for your own records, decisions and clinical work. Output must be reviewed by you before it is relied on, entered into a record, or shared with anyone. Nothing produced by this software is a substitute for your judgement or for supervision.
5. Your responsibilities
- Complying with the confidentiality, record-keeping and data-protection obligations that apply to you and to the material you keep.
- Securing the computer the software runs on, including backups. We cannot recover anything for you, because we hold nothing.
- Not sharing your licence key.
- Not reverse-engineering, redistributing or reselling the software, except where law says you may regardless of this clause.
6. Third-party components
Reverim includes open-source components and a language model, each under its own licence. Those licences are distributed with the software and continue to govern those components.
7. Warranty
The software is provided as is. To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim implied warranties including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose. This is early software and we describe its state plainly rather than promising more than it does.
8. Liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, our total liability arising from the software is limited to what you paid for it in the twelve months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including lost data, lost income, or professional consequences of relying on output you did not check. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
9. Refunds
If Reverim isn't right for you, email us within 30 days of purchase and we'll refund you in full. No reason required.
You can evaluate most of Reverim before buying: without a licence it opens your vault, indexes it, searches it and answers questions — only writing to your notes is withheld. We'd rather you knew it worked for you first.
A refunded licence key stops being valid for renewal, and we ask that you uninstall. Renewals can be cancelled any time before they charge; once a renewal has run, the same 30 days applies to it.
10. Ending the agreement
You may stop using the software at any time; uninstalling it leaves your notes untouched. We may end a licence if these terms are breached. Sections 3, 4, 7 and 8 survive.
11. Changes
We may update these terms. Material changes will be reflected in the date at the top, and continuing to use the software after that constitutes acceptance.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of California, United States.
